A lively Walk for Mental Health

October’s Walk for Mental Health was enlivened by tumbling, juggling and lively music. Phillips Square was crowded with colorful placards with positive messages on mental health issues, later carried across the downtown area by a spirited, chattering crowd as onlookers paused to watch.
L’Abri en Ville was well-represented in the crowd and at the registration desk, with 15 residents, as many volunteers and – particularly good to see – family members. Hard work attracting sponsors resulted in our raising $2,463.75, of which $1971 was returned for L’Abri’s use. Special thanks to L’Abri volunteers Suzanne Herscovitch, Mary Murphy, Paul Aubin and Trudy Michielsen and to coordinator Cheryl Lafferty for a job well done!
