Dessert for Dinner and Art Vernissage – May 4, 2026

You are ivited to join us for Dessert for Dinner and Art Vernissage on May 4th at the Unitarian Church, raising money for the L’Abri Resident Activities Fund. This fund covers or offsets expenses for L’Abri activities. Historically, money was raised through card sales, but times are changing, so residents and staff have worked hard to develop this new initiative. We hope you come out to show your support and encourage residents’ efforts to be self-supporting!

Since the fall, residents have attended art workshops where they have created original artwork in a variety of mediums. This artwork will be on display at the vernissage, select pieces will be up for auction, and prints will also be available for sale. The meal, pancakes and crepes (with savory and sweet toppings to choose from) are recipes made and taste-tested by L’Abri residents at our popular Community Kitchen. To make the event even sweeter, baked goods made by the residents will be for sale.

How can you support?

  1. The Vernissage (4:30 PM to 6:30 PM): you can participate in a silent auction for original artwork or buy prints.
  2. Pancake and Crepe Dinner: Pancakes and crepes will be served at 5:30 PM. The meal is pay what you can, but there is a suggested minimum of $20 per plate. Meal tickets are limited – send your RSVP by April 20th to info@labrienville.org or 514-932-2199.
  3. Share the flyer and event information! This event is open to the public.

Please note: You are not required to attend the dinner to visit the vernissage.
